TB-60 Cleaning and Maintenance for Laminated Plastic and Solid Phenolic
Last Updated: 01/21/2008
Bobrick Toilet Partitions, Urinal Screens, and Dressing Compartments are constructed of three different types of material. The three different types of material are: Laminated Plastic, Solid Phenolic, and Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) laminated over particle board. Solid Phenolic is exceptionally durable, rust-free, and easy to clean.

Given proper care, our toilet partition doors, panels, and stile surfaces will retain their fine appearance for years. Periodic
cleaning with a mild soap solution or a general purpose spray cleaner is usually all that is required to keep them fresh and
new looking. Use of self-cleaning waxes will protect the surface and help it to resist soiling and staining.

All Bobrick Laminated Plastic meets or exceeds the NEMA (National Electrical Manufacturer's Association) LD3 standard for resistance to stains and chemical damage.

IMPORTANT NOTES ON THE CARE OF LAMINATED PLASTIC

AVOID CONTACT WITH HARSH CHEMICALS generally used in drain and toilet bowl cleaners, bleach, rust removers, and metal cleaners. See reverse side of sheet for listing of substances that can damage laminated plastic.

NEVER USE ABRASIVES OR POWDERED CLEANSERS as they can cause shiny spots or roughen the melamine
surface, making it more susceptible to staining.

DO NOT USE HOSE-DOWN CLEANING methods on laminated plastic or FRP products which have a wood product core . . .water directed onto the laminated plastic surface may set up a capillary action at the seams, causing absorption of moisture, swelling of the wood product core, and possible delamination of the laminated plastic or FRP.
