Randy is a Proud U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He entered the United States Army in March of 1966 and started his base training at Fort Bliss in Texas. When he left boot camp training, he served 3 months at Fort Sill in Oklahoma for his A.I.T. Once completed, he was assigned to the 8th Battalion of the 26th Artillery Division. The 8/26th field artillery unit departed for Vietnam in Dec. 66. In July of 1967, Randy was transferred to the 7th Battalion of the 15th Artillery Division and remained with them until his tour was complete. Randy exited the service at the rank of Spec-4.
After the service, Randy joined the Sheet Metal Workers Union in 1968. He began his career as an apprentice in heating and air conditioning work. With his apprenticeship complete, he began working for Builders Specialty Co. (now out of business) in 1972. There he started working as an installer of metal restroom partitions and restroom accessories.
In 1991 Randy left Builders Specialty to start his own company, Master Building Specialties.
They started with small projects and steadily built a strong reputation as a service oriented company. Focusing on local projects allowed Randy to guarantee the quality of work he presented to Owners and General Contractors.
